You and your guests will have exclusive use of the Estate from Friday to Sunday.
From the front steps of the historic Estate with sweeping views of the expansive green meadows, to the luxury pavilion overlooking the mountains to one side and the poolside oasis to the other, to a more rustic charm in the Hundredfold Hall, below you will find the perfect venue to meet your vision for every aspect of your weekend celebration.
THE ESTATE CIRCLE
Couples can exchange vows surrounded by nature's beauty under a canopy of trees and in front of the rich history of the stone-clad Derry House. This location is perfect for an intimate wedding ceremony with up to 125 guests. Seamlessly transform this space into a cocktail area while guests await the start of your reception.
The Grand Meadows
The Grand Meadows offers a serene backdrop of rolling green pastures with mountains in the distance. This is the perfect ceremony site for any couple looking to incorporate breathtaking views and a peaceful, natural beauty during the exchanging of vows. Enjoy plenty of space for up to 180 loved ones to witness your nuptials with the option to either face the stone steps of Derry House or west towards the expansive pastures.
The PAVILION
The luxurious tented Pavilion (30’x90’), included with all wedding and event packages, is located on the tree-lined Spring House Lawn, offering picturesque views of the pool terrace, Spring House, and the nearby vineyards. You and your guests will enjoy the breathtaking sight the setting sun over the Shenandoah Mountains. The Pavilion comfortably accommodates up to 180 seated guests, ensuring a memorable and stunning setting for your celebration in any weather.

Just steps from the Derry House and overlooking the Spring House Lawn, the Pool Terrace offers a breathtaking and versatile entertainment area that will be sure to wow your guests. This elegant space is framed by lush green landscaping, creating a stunning setting for your intimate ceremony. The outdoor oasis seamlessly transitions from a idyllic ceremony space to a vibrant cocktail hour, offering stunning 360-degree views of the Estate, mountains, and vineyards. It’s the ideal location to create unforgettable memories.

This historic barn, featuring a stage, two bathrooms, a sound system, hand-crafted farm tables, hardwood floors, and romantic twinkle lights, is an ideal venue for a rustic, yet refined event. With seating for 180 for ceremonies and 140 for receptions, it offers a charming plan B for inclement weather and serves as a versatile option for receptions and rehearsal dinners. The barn doors, sliding open, invite a refreshing breeze, creating the perfect ambiance for an unforgettable evening.
Crawford room (Bridal Suite)
The Crawford Room, an elegant parlor room within Derry House, serves as a luxurious yet comfortable bridal suite. Constructed in the 1800s, it features 11-foot ceilings, historic molding, a crystal chandelier, a cozy working fireplace, and natural lighting through large bay windows overlooking the Grand Meadows. Providing a picturesque blend of historic charm and tranquility, this suite will be a tranquil and luxurious haven for you and your bridesmaids on your special day.
Crawford room (Rehearsal Dinner)
The Crawford Room can also be used for rehearsal dinners seating up to 30 guests. This intimate and elegant space provides a sophisticated ambiance, perfect for your closest family and friends to gather and celebrate before the big day. With its tasteful decor and serene environment, the Crawford Room sets the stage for memorable pre-wedding moments.

Derry House Lodging
With five bedrooms and six bathrooms, our 6500 square foot Derry House comfortably hosts 13 overnight guests. It includes a study, a formal parlor, historic Derry’s Tavern, an Olympic-size swimming pool and a relaxing hot tub.
Owl’s Nest Cottage
Originally built as a boyhood vacation home for Actor Patrick Swayze, the Owl’s Nest Cottage accommodates 8 overnight guests — with three bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms, a fireplace, a sunroom, and two living rooms, one on each floor.
